I'm REALLLLLLLY excited about this one!!
The National Drama Association of Trinidad and Tobago (NDATT) has been operating with a caretaker committee for some time. This group of devout theatre folk laboured to revive NDATT to a place where it can have an Annual General Meeting! And...the day has come!!
Sunday 23rd July at 10:00 am at the Little Carib Theatre,
White Street, Port of Spain, Trinidad
The main agenda for this meeting are the reports from the caretaker committee and the election to the posts for the NEW Executive! The post which are to be filled for a period of TWO years are:
2. Vice- President
3. Secretary
4. Assistant Secretary
5. Treasurer
6. Public Relations Officer
7. Education Officer
8. Resource Development Officer
The caretaker committee notes: "We urge anyone interested in the development of theatre in T&T to consider joining NDATT and also to seriously consider running for these posts. NDATT is the only statutory body that represents the interest of theatre in Trinidad and Tobago and it need new and vibrant young voices and energy."
You can register for membership on the day at 9:00 am!
Individual Membership $25.00;
Student Membership $10.00;
Group Membership $100.00

Do you need to provide proof of a body of work to join NDATT? Or is it open to the public at large?
ReplyDeleteHi! From my understanding you do not have to have a body of work to join NDATT. It seems to be open to anyone who has an interest in developing theatre in Trinidad and Tobago.
DeleteHi! I applied for membership to NDATT, do you know if I can pay my membership fee at the (just before the AGM) or do I need to do that before? If I need to pay it before, where and how do I do so? Tys.
ReplyDeleteThe NDATT caretaker Committee has set up a facebook event page. They have post information for persons who may wish to pay their membership fee in advance of the AGM.

I think NDATT should be revitalized BUT it must focus on constant active engagement of the membership in meaningful ways, if not it will just loose momentum again and die...
